The American Art Society of Cincinnati was established in 1983 by a core group of art collectors as a way to provide educational programs and encourage the exchange of ideas among persons interested in the collection and appreciation of American painting and sculpture. Now in its 43rd year, the Society continues to further these goals in settings that are socially enjoyable and accessible for members. Programs include tours of private collections, field trips to area and midwest museums, artist studio visits, and scholarly presentations, to name but a few.
